In Vietnam, the CDM method was first introduced in 1980’s. Until 2000’s, the CDM method started to be applied in some projects. There after, the issue of Vietnamese standard TCXDVN 385:2006 “Soil improvement by cement deep mixing” facilitates to the quick enlargement of CDM method in the market. At this moment, the CDM method has become a very popular soil improvement solution for infrastructure projects. This paper outlines the overall picture of CDM method in Vietnam by reviewing technology development of CDM method after more than 30 years, summarizing different application of CDM method through some representative projects, classifying various CDM equipment currently used in the market and predicting the technology development trends in the near future.
