Tóm tắt:

Deep-seated landslides occurring nearroads and building areas cause serious damages. High groundwater level due tolong periods of rainfall or infiltration from reservoir saturates and softens soils landslides. This article introduces an approach which combines the restraining effects of stabilizing piles and the dewatering effect from large diameter vertical wells, to increase the stability of landslides. Effectiveness in resisting sliding force and lowering the groundwater level was evaluated using the finite-elements method. The results show that the saturation line drops significantly, and the safety factor of the slope increases by approximately 20% compared to the case without the wells.
