Durability is always one of the basic requirements for any type of material applied for pavement especially like roller compacted concrete (RCC). Temperature and relative humidity in RCC pavement are considered important factors that cause changing of the coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE). Meanwhile, CTE has been widely considered as a fundamental property of pavement due to the fact that CTE effects to geometry design of pavement to avoid transverse joint faulting and transverse cracking. Thus, it is extremely necessary for determining the CTE of RCC in Viet Nam to ensure durability of construction in using process.
